John H. Bledsoe, Sr., 75, died November 5, 2017.
John Henry Bledsoe, Sr. was born December 1, 1941 in Memphis, TN to the late Walter Lee Bledsoe, Sr. and Estell Bledsoe. He departed on November 5, 2017 with his wife and family by his side. He attended Woodstock High in Memphis, Tn. He joined the Military where he served in the U.S. Army for 27 years. He served 2 tours in Vietnam, served as a Drill Sergeant in Fort Knox and as Community Sergeant Major of Aschaffenburg, Germany. He married Christine Jackson from Taylor, Texas, in 1970.
He was preceded in death by his brother Edward (Bernice); and brother-in-law, Cleaven.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; three sons, John Jr. ( Cristina) of Kuwait, Christopher (Gleneese) of Memphis and Michael (Michelle) of Memphis ; two daughters, Tanisha (Corey) of Memphis and Teresa (Willie) of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Cameron, Mariyah, Kenji, Christopher Jerome and Jasmin; brothers William (Marjaretta) of Georgia, Albert (Ruthie) of Sherwood, Arkansas, Walter Jr. And Melvin (Linda) of Memphis; two sisters, Earnestine Hughes ( James Sr.), Mary Williams (Thomas) of Millington; brothers in law, Johnny Stoglin of San Antonio, Texas, Elroy Stoglin of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
