Benjamin Robert "Bob" Payne, age 75, died June 7, 2022.
Benjamin Robert “Bob” Payne passed away peacefully in his sleep early on June 7th, 2022. Born in Memphis on November 14, 1946, where he lived all his life, attending Messick High School, class of 1964, and graduated from Memphis State University in 1968 with a degree in Accounting. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of First Evangelical Church where he served as an Elder and was actively involved in the church. He was a Partner with Brundige & Payne CPA firm, where many of his clients were also his close friends. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda; his daughter Carol and her two children Hunter and Landon; and his son John (Sabrina). A memorial service will be held at First Evangelical Church on June 18th at 1pm with visitation to follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, he would like you to donate to Tlapaneco Indian Ministries, a missionary organization in Mexico he was involved in for many years.
