Chandra Alisa Burgess, age 52, died April 23, 2021

Chandra Alisa Burgess was born October 14, 1968 in Cleveland, MS to Gloria Townes and the late Alfred Robinson. Chandra’s family moved to Memphis, TN in 1969, when she was just one years old. Chandra became born again by accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior at New Bethel Baptist Church in Memphis, TN under the leadership of Pastor Melvin Rodgers.
Chandra graduated from Hamilton High School in Memphis, TN in 1968. Chandra loved the comradery she shared with her fellow classmates throughout the years. She loved watching reality shows and making everyone smile.
Chandra started working for the Postal Service (Memphis NDC) as a Distribution Clerk for 27 years.
Chandra loved spending time with her family and friends talking about the good old days and current events. She dearly loved and enjoyed her one and only grandchild Christian.
Chandra was united in holy matrimony to Darrell Burgess, Sr. on June 24, 2007. They showered each other with love and affection for almost 21 years until God called her home.
Chandra entered into her eternal home in heaven on April 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Robinson, Jr.
Chandra Burgess leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted, loving, caring, faithful, soulmate, and best friend Darrell Burgess, Sr., Mother: Gloria Williams of Memphis, TN, Children: Falinisa (Danielle) Green & Summer Pierce of Memphis, TN, Darrell Burgess, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, Grandson: Christian Jackson, Siblings: Kenneth Robinson (Valerie) of Marietta, GA, Calvin Townes (Brenda), Michael Townes (Pamela), and Larry Williams (Moneake), all of Memphis, TN, In-Laws: Milton & Diane Burgess, Sister In-Laws: Phyllis (Maurice) Crook, Michelle (Danny) Nichols of Memphis, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins, and friends.
