Charlene M. Harris, age 71, died November 13, 2021.
CHARLENE MCGOWAN HARRIS was born on July 17, 1950 in Somerville, TN to the parents of Annie Lee Howse and John McGowan.
She departed this life November 13, 2021. She accepted Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist church. She later joined House of Prayer church in Memphis Tn. In her later life, she joined True Love Baptist Church and was an active member who participated in all church events and woman’s caucus. She graduated from Manassas High School and then attended College at Memphis State.
She studied and became a successful real estate agent for Lawrence Johnson Realtors, later Crye Leike Realtors. Her real estate career lasted 40 plus years. She loved her career and found beautiful homes for families in Memphis, TN. Charlene loved to cook. She was a fantastic grandmother to her 8 grandkids. Charlene was a true Matriarch who affectionately cared for and offered advice to numerous loved ones.
Charlene was united in holy matrimony with Benjamin F Harris on August 28, 1971. During this 50 year union 4 children were born. Bennie Ramone Harris, Angela Harris, Varita Harris and Jason Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her Partner in life Benjamin Harris and their 4 children Bennie (Ramone) Harris, Varita Harris, Angela Harris and Jason Harris. Her brother James McGowan whom she adored. Her 8 grandchildren Charity Knight(Brandee), Daniel Johnson, Trinity Harris, Bileall Harris, Infinity Harris, Eternity Harris, Amir Harris and Isiah Harris. A host of nieces and Nephews.
