Obituary for Christine Carpenter
The late Mrs. Christine Carpenter was born August 24, 1948 in Senatobia, Mississippi to Otis and Lois (Reynolds) Reed. Mrs. Carpenter confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. In 1991, she became a member of Word of Life S.D.A where she served on the Deaconess Board, Community Services and Family Ministries. Throughout her life she enjoyed caring for and providing children care services for many years. She had a passionate love for nature, flowers, gardening and, above all, she loved and enjoyed her family. She will always be remembered as a gentle, quiet and calm Spirit.
On Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the age of 71 years, Christine transitioned into eternal rest. She leaves to cherish and will be remembered lovely by her devoted husband, Coleman Carpenter; loving brother, Billy Edward Reed; late sister, Carolyn Reed-Harrison; four daughters, Linda Lawanda Crump, Shonda Hayes, Sandra Dukes (Artesian Dukes), Latonya Crump; her first grandson, Quartel Crump, whom she raised from her late and oldest daughter, Sheila Denise Crump; she also leaves to cherish fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunties, nieces, nephews along with other family and friends.
