Obituary for Fernando Montiel
Fernando Montiel, 15, died April 3, 2019.
On Wednesday April 3, 2019, Fernando Montiel, loving son and brother, passed away at the age of 15. Fernando, better known as Fer, was born in Memphis, TN on December 26, 2003. He attended White Station High School and was an active member of the ROTC. Fernando was known to love playing video games with his siblings and cousins and constantly surprised us with ingenious ideas from his brilliant mind. He is survived by his parents Adolfo Montiel and Irene Rojas Chavez, his siblings Enrique Montiel, Yesenia Avila Montiel, Jorge Montiel, Clara Isabel Montiel, and Octavio James Montiel, his step-dad, David Hernandez. He left behind a paternal grandmother, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6th at Serenity Funeral Home in Memphis, TN at 6 o'clock. Flowers and donations can be mailed to 6438 Llano Ave. Memphis, TN 38134.
El miércoles 3 de abril del año 2019, Fernando Montiel, amado hijo y hermano, falleció a la edad de 15 años. Fernando, más conocido como Fer, nació en Memphis, TN el 26 de diciembre del año 2003. Asistió a la escuela de White Station High School y fue miembro activo del ROTC. A Fernando le encantaba jugar videojuegos con sus hermanos y primos, y constantemente nos sorprendía con sus pensamientos ingenios que rodeaban su mente brillante. Dejo atrás sus padres Adolfo Montiel Flores e Irene Rojas Chávez, sus hermanos Enrique Montiel, Yesenia Ávila Montiel, Jorge Montiel, Clara Isabel Montiel y Octavio James Montiel, su padrastro, David Hernández, una abuela paterna y varios tíos y primos.
