Frances Winters, 64, died November 20, 2018
On August 23, 1954, a beautiful baby girl was born to WT and Rena Davis. She was the first of ten children. Frances accepted Christ at an early age at Good Hope Baptist Church. She grew up in Whiteville, Tennessee under the care of her great-aunt Mandy Neely. She graduated from Haywood High School in 1972. Frances spent her young adult life in St. Louis,
Missouri working in sales. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Willie Winters on July 27, 1979.
She was preceded in death by her great-aunt Mandy Neely, her aunt Virginia Ellison, her grandmother Frances Douglas, her uncle Willie Lee Ellison, her grandmother Gusta Vay Ellison, her uncle James Neely and her aunt Sallie Jean Futrell. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Willie Winters, her parent’s WT and Rena Davis, four brothers Walter Davis (Avis) of Maryland, Wilbur Davis of Arkansas, Alvin Davis (Jennifer) of Memphis, and William Davis (Ann) of Nashville. She also leaves behind five sisters, Carolyn Ellis (Moses) of Arkansas, Laura Davis (Darrell) of North Carolina, Deborah Shaw (Carl) of Memphis, Delois Crutchfield (Travis) of Memphis, Renee Brown (Kenneth) of Memphis, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She leaves three aunts Lettie Mae Holms of St. Louis Missouri, Linda Ellison of Nashville, Lily Johnson (Earnest) of Brownsville, and one uncle Jessie Ellison of Nashville, as well as many cousins and friends.
