Obituary for Ira Jean Richardson
On January 17, 1949 at John Gaston Hospital (Memphis, TN), Minnie Myrtle Gibson and Nathaniel Gibson delivered unto this world a daughter, Ira Jean Richardson.
She confessed hope in Christ at the tender age of nine under the leadership of Reverend Curling Crutcher, Greater Calvary Baptist. She later joined Vollintine Baptist Church congregation under the leadership of Reverend C.J. Bryant. For thirty plus years, she worked at the City of Memphis Zoo and retired from there.
She has now joined her father, Nathaniel Gibson, son, Brandon G. Wright and brother, Nathaniel Gibson, Jr. on to Glory. Ira Jean Richardson leaves in mourning, her mother: Minnie M. Gibson; great aunt: Annie Jones; two sisters: Reverend Mellean Fondren and Nicole Cathey; one brother: John L. Gibson; one daughter: Talisa Richardson; grandson: Jartavius D. Wright and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins to cherish her wonderful life.
