Obituary for James Lee Miller
James Lee Miller, 67, died January 6, 2019.
Mr. James Lee Miller (affectionately called Bobby) born on March 15, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Arthur L. Miller Sr. and Mattie M. Miller Gamble. He attended Manassas Elementary School and Mitchell High School. Bobby accepted Christ at an early age at Riverside Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. He was a quiet/calm spirited man, with a generous heart for loved ones and close friends. He loved his family dearly and especially his daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time reading and watching football games.
On Sunday, January 6, Bobby accepted the angels’ request to transport him to his Heavenly Father. Although he will be tremendously missed, we rejoice in knowing that he is present with the Lord.
Preceding him in death: his parents Arthur & Mattie; three siblings: Rose L. Miller Evans, Reginald (Rickey) Miller, and Arthur (Sonnie) L. Miller Jr.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life, Regina Miller; three daughters, Dr. Tishsha Hopson, Nevonia Houston, and LaShonie Houston; one son in law, Dr. Dale Hopson; two grandchildren, Myles Hopson and Alicia Harps; one brother, Robert E. Miller of Bowling Green, KY; five sisters, Janie White, Laverne McCain (Danny), Barbara Liggins (Calvin), Mae Ollie Kelsey (Rev. Willie), all of Memphis, TN, and Diana Miller of Dallas, TX; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
