Mrs. Janice Maxine Hilliard was born Feb. 08, 1943 to the late Claude Smith Sr. and Mary Smith. Janice was the youngest of 7 children.
Janice professed and accepted Christ at an early age and she was a member of The Lord's Chapel Church until she became ill.
Janice worked for the telephone company, Ike's Drugstore, and Walmart Supercenter in which she retired from after 18 years.
Janice was united in Holy Matrimony to R.L Hilliard Sr. on June 8, 1993 and they were married for 27 years until her death.
Janice departed this life on December 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her siblings A.D. Middlebrook, Earnestine Boyce, Claude Smith Jr., Iola Ford, and Barbara Dodson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her Husband R.L Hilliard Sr., 1 daughter, Janice Sims , 3 Stepdaughters, Beverly Townes (James), Melnett Shockley (Gordon), Alicia Bean (Johnny), 7 Stepsons, James Guffin (Debora), R.L. Hilliard Jr. (Sarah), Rockie Hilliard (Tarsha), Tony Hilliard, Jeremiah Hilliard, Joel Hilliard, Terrence Thomas Sr.,1 sister, Betty Eddings (Jessie), 3 grandchildren, Timothy Smith Jr. (Temelia), Leonard Smith Sr. , Shenika Sims, 15 great grandchildren, Latyia, Leonard Jr. Chaddarius, Temia, Tamyia, Autumn, Nia, Joshua, Christian, Malia, Joseph, Mikkel, Tristian, Makayla, & Eliza, 1 great-great granddaughter Aubrey, and a host step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
