Kyla Nicole Jenkins, 13, died December 5, 2017.
Kyla Nicole Jenkins was born at Methodist South on March 9, 2003 to Carlos and Terika Jenkins. She was a proud and dedicated student at Southwind High School. Kyla enjoyed vacationing with her family, listening to music, and watching the Cowboys. Kyla's favorite color was purple and her favorite singer was SIA. Kyla was full of joy and a great big sister to Kayla and Carlos, Jr. Kyla fought a long eight year journey and even completed her first 5k walk on December 2nd as a St. Jude Hero. She was strong till the very end. She will be greatly missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving parents Carlos and Terika Jenkins; grandparents, Sheree Nicole and Antonio D. Clark, Charles Harris, Jr. and Tamara Harris, Brenda Jenkins; Great- Grandparents, Patricia Jamison, Betty Bedford, Charles Harris, Sr., Pamela "Nana" Roach; Great-Great Grandparents; Billie Roach and Lula Mae Harris. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death her great-great-grandparents, John E. and Bernice Shipp; great-grandfather, Eldridge Parker; grandfather Andrew Jenkins, Sr. and her uncle Brian Jenkins.
