Lashuna Shantay McGlown, 43, died September 24, 2019.
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lashuna Shantay McGlown. She was a very caring mother of 3: Raven Deberry, Tayla-Jeane Wooden and Terrence Wooden. Born January 19, 1977 and at only 42 years she passed away on September 24, 2019 due to a blood clot traveling to her lungs.
Lashuna was a very educated woman; she went to Shefield High School, and she graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. She worked as a social worker for the State of Tennessee. Lashuna was a wonderful mother; and had a big heart for helping people, even when she felt like she had no time, she made time to help anyone. She adored her grandchildren: Aydon Deberry, Tyler Deberry and Emma Deberry. Lashuna was the best conversationalist in the world; she listened to anyone that needed an ear.
She was also very loved and adored by her sisters and brothers: Iesha McGlown, Moesha McGlown, Keisha Sparks, Jermal McGlown, Kevin McGlown (Davis), Sherry McGlown, Tabitha Harris, Keith Calhoun and Kenneth McGlown (Dewalt). Lashuna was also loved by her sister: Tia Burks and step-sister, Latanya Curry; a host of nieces & nephews; seven other step-sisters and step-brothers; her great grandmother, Thelma McGlown; aunts and uncles.
