Mr. Lawrence Franklin was born March 14, 1940, to the union of George and Pauline Jordan Franklin in Lamar, Mississippi.
Lawrence was united in holy matrimony to the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Franklin.
Lawrence departed this life on Monday, January 2, 2017, at 5:02 p.m. He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
Lawrence leaves to cherish his memories: His two daughters, Faye Nesbitt of Atlanta, Georgia and Donella Pitts of Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Izora Robinson, Portie Ann Franklin of Memphis, Tennessee and Phenora Myree (Thomas, Sr.) of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, Alton (Peggy) of Memphis, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Arizona Franklin of Lakeland, Tennessee; his dearest friend, Robert Bowen, of Memphis, Tennessee; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; and one special niece, who was his caregiver, Marilyn D. Robinson, of Memphis, Tennessee.
