Martha Lee Miller, 84, died November 14, 2020.
In Loving Memory of Martha Lee Miller
Wife, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandma, Great-Grandma on November 14, 2020, Martha Lee Miller got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 84 years old. Martha Lee was born in Madison, Florida, on April 15, 1936, to the late John E. Smith and Amy Mason. She was also preceded in death by sister Mary Smith and brothers Willie Smith, Isaac Foster, John Smith.
She led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. Martha was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. Martha was a woman ahead of her time, an avid walker and a forward thinker. She was owner and operator of Martha’s Total Look Hair Gallery and a former nurse with Veteran’s Affairs.
Martha leaves behind her husband of 42 years, Andy Miller, Sr. She was also survived by her sister, Nellie Foster of Tampa, FL and brother, Melvin Foster. She was wonderfully devoted to her four sons Kevin Willoughby, Robert Willoughby, Anthony Willoughby, Victor Willoughby and her step-children Annette Miller and Andy Miller, Jr.
She was a loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren. She was great-grandmother to many great grandchildren; aunt to numerous nieces and nephews; a host of in-laws, and church family of Greater Harvest Church of God In Christ where she worshiped and served.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 28 at 12 p.m. at the Outdoor Chapel @ Serenity Funeral Home located at 1638 Sycamore View Rd, Memphis, TN 38134 - with appropriate social distancing and it will be streamed on Facebook Live - Serenity Funeral Home's Facebook page. Burial will be at West TN State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, December 9 at 1:15 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, November 27, 2020.
