Obituary for Nichola F. Battle
Nichola F. Battle, 70, died December 20, 2019.
Nikki was known for her great sense of humor, her infectious laughter, generosity, and love of family. She was a fun-loving free spirit who lived life to the fullest, and delighted in traveling and camping. Though she traveled around the world, her favorite place was always Mound Bayou, MS where her beloved cousins lived. She also had a penchant for fashion and style, which was so apparent in her unique and exquisite taste in clothes and home décor.
Nikki lost both her parents as a toddler, but Clora Reddrick, her first cousin, stepped in and raised her along with her late husband, Hillary Reddrick.
She received a B.S. from Delta State College in Cleveland, MS and a M.S. from the University of Memphis. Her career included working for Arlington Developmental Center and the United States Postal Service.
The two loves of her life were her late husband, Willie Battle and her only child, Shawn Anthony Battle.
Nikki leaves to cherish her memory, son, Shawn Anthony Battle; her second mother, Clora Reddrick; sister and cousin, Karen Robinson; brother Kenneth Royster; seven grandchildren, Cordarrly Battle, Tykiya Wells (Eric), Naja Henry, Amir Battle, Yana Battle, Alese Battle, Ashlyn Battle; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Regina George; brother-in-law, Herbert Battle, Jr. (Angella); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
