Obituary for Robert Ferguson
Robert Ferguson, 78, died on August 29, 2016.
Mr. Robert Greene Ferguson was born May 16, 1938 in Charlotte, NC to the late Manzie and Mable Ferguson. He departed this earthly life on August 29, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
His education was obtained in the Charlotte, NC Public School System. At an early age he became a Christian and joined the church. He later became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in East Orange, NJ. He later met and was united in Holy Matrimony to Barbara J. Parker of Seaboard, NC. All who knew “Fergie” knew that he loved automotive work, fishing and hunting. He retired from American Handling Company of Kearny, NJ.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Gary Ferguson (Crystal) of Memphis, TN, Jeffery Ferguson and Robert James, both of New Jersey; two daughters, Donna and Celeste Ferguson of New Jersey; and one brother, Johnnie Ferguson, of New Jersey. He was a loving grandfather of all: Omar (TaNaisha), GA, Jocelyn & Ebony Ferguson, TN, Diamond Ferguson, MD, Porsha Ferguson, TX, Ciara Hall, Ahmad, Dimond Ferguson, Ayiesha Manning, LaToya Owens, Davion, Destiny, Tamiyah Hines, Jahwan Robinson and Ethan James, all of New Jersey. He was the great grandfather of Zaniyyah, Quaiesha, Saamiya, Aniyah, Al-Quahim, Asada and Aubri; and also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
