Ruby Mae Whitfield, 74, died November 7, 2015
Ruby Mae Whitfield was born on March 15th, 1941 to William and Virgie Jewell in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a gift from God, and one of seventeen children. She departed this life on November 7th, 2015.
At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ at Pentecostal Temple under Bishop J.O. Patterson, Sr. and was a lifelong and devoted member of Gateway Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her father William Jewell, mother Virgie Jewell, brother Johnny Jewell, brother William Jewell Jr., brother Wilford James Jackson, sister Betty Jean Jewell, sister Barbera Jewell, and daughter Patricia Henderson.
She leaves to mourn her six children: Vivian D. Triggs, Deloise Triggs, Cathey Triggs, Lolitha Henderson, Monte Henderson, and Tommie Triggs, 5 sisters: Mary Jackson Jewell, Carolyn Jewell of Chicago, IL, Brenda Jewel, Marilyn Jewell, and Vickie Jewell, 6 brothers: Bennie Jewell, Joseph Jewell, Melvin Jewell, Michael Jewell, Larnell Jewell, and Tony Jewell of Atlanta, GA, 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren a host of great, great/great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
