Obituary for Scott Alan Mahaffy
Scott Alan Mahaffy, age 56, died May 2, 2021.

Scott Alan Mahaffy, 56, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away suddenly at home on May 2nd, 2021.
Scott was born on October 10, 1964 in Lansing Michigan to Ronald and Sharlene Mahaffy. He graduated from Wooddale High School in Memphis and attended the University of Memphis.
Scott loved his children and his music. He was a member of many different bands throughout the years (including Ruby Wilson and the Bar-Kays), but his favorite gig was being the singer-songwriter for Rubber Soul (a Memphis favorite). The band released the CD - 'Filet of Soul' which he was so very proud of.
Scott eventually got out of the music business and started selling used goods on Memphis Trader and Craigslist.
Scott is survived by his 3 children - Nicole Shackelton of Southaven, MS, Tyler Mahaffy of Memphis, Hannah Mahaffy of Southaven, MS, his mother - Sharlene Mahaffy of Memphis, his niece and nephew - Danielle Mahaffy of Bethesda, MD and Alan Mahaffy of Bartlett, and his brother and sister-in-law - Kevin and Becky Mahaffy of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Alan Mahaffy.
The family is requesting that donations be made to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital or Central Church in lieu of flowers.
