Obituary for Sonya Yvette Kyles
Sonya Yvette Kyles, age 56, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Methodist South Hospital in Memphis.
She was born Saturday, May 25, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri to Mildred Lewis and Ernest Kyles. She accepted Christ at a young age. In 1994 she married Edward Hoof Sr. on the 1st day of August in Memphis. They shared three children amongst her six older children. Sonya loved her whole family and did her best at raising nine children and helping raise her grandchildren. Sonya truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, snacking on her favorites, watching her favorite movies and TV shows and just being with her loving family. Sonya had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.
Sonya Yvette Kyles departed this earthly life and left behind her husband Edward Hoof Sr. and nine children to cherish their memories of her; Torrence (Sabrina) Kyles Sr., Branden Kyles, Jamie (Corey) Dennis, Kay Parker, Daniel Kyles, Brianna Kyles, Edward Hoof Jr., Lillian Hoof, and Vincent Hoof Sr. all of Memphis, TN. Her mother, Mildred Lewis her father, Ernest Kyles and her brother Gary Jones proceeded her in death. Sonya also leaves behind her sisters Sandra (Bobby) Smith, Donna (Charles) Buchanan, Karen Lewis, Gabrielle (Calvin) Lindsey, Patricia Kyles, Kandice Kyles, and Janet Kyles Gordon. Her brothers Earnest (Terri) Jones Sr., Daryl Carroll, and Earnest Kyles and 15 amazing grand children and one great grandchild. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
