Thomas Neal, age 79, died January 24, 2023.

Thomas Delano Neal, who was born November 21, 1943, in Somerville, Tennessee, to the late James and Hattie M. Neal, their second child of ten. Five of his siblings Mary Lane Colbert, Edward Neal, Larry Neal, Willie Neal and the baby, James Randle, preceded him in death. Thomas accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Morris Chapel Baptist Church.
Thomas was always a hard worker whether it was on the family farm, regular employment, or self-employment. He was ambitious and strived to be successful. As a young man, in 1962, he moved to Memphis, TN to look for work in order to be more help to his parents and younger siblings. He began to work for Wonder Potato Chip company as a loading dock worker, shortly after, he was promoted to salesman, then route supervisor.
While employed with Wonder, he became the owner of one, then several stores before leaving the company to devote more of himself to his business.
Although Thomas was a successful businessman, the most important thing to him was his family. Throughout his life, he loved and supported his family and friends. If he knew you, he would always call to check on you. Thomas enjoyed life, he loved to travel, meet people, and have fun. He touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.
On December 22, 1987, he united in Holy Matrimony to Carolyn Witherspoon. One child, Patrick was born to this union.
Thomas transitioned from this life on January 25,2023, leaving his loving wife, Carolyn W. Neal, four siblings, Rozena Houston (Nashville, TN), Bobby Neal, Ruth Neal and Allen Neal (Gloria) of Atlanta, GA. four daughters, Sharon N. Jennings, Angela N. Pekmazci (Atlanta, GA), Melanie Neal, Karyrn Neal (San Diego, CA) five sons, Anthony Neal (Annie), Barry Neal (Kateria), Derrick Neal, Brian Neal, Patrick Neal and ex-wife, Ella R. Neal, 18 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family members, friends and he shared a brotherly bond with his brother-in-law, Ernest Witherspoon (Phyllis).
